DesignerChic Trades is an online global marketplace where people come together to buy and sell luxury and designer fashion from each others fashionable closets around the world.

How do I sign up as member on Designerchictrades.com?

You simply complete the sign up form. Upload a profile image, add a display name for your virtual closet/store for other users of the site to see.

Where is my verification email?

Your verification email may appear in your spam/junk mail folder. Please check these folders first. If you can't find your verification email in your spam/junk mail folders, then please do not hestitate to This email address is being protected from spambots. How do I go to the homepage?

To view the homepage, you click on "DesignerChic Trades" logo at the top of web page.

Do I have to be a member to view item listings?

Yes. You must first create an account and then login to view details of all item listings. 

What if I forget my password?

If you have forgotten your password, simply click on the "Lost Password" button located on the login form and create a new password. If you experience any problems, please contact us and we will gladly assist you. 

How do I edit my personal information associated with my account and profile?

To update your personal information go to My Account > Settings. If you need to edit your profile information, click "edit profile" in your account settings. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover through PayPal, PayPal Credit and DesignerChic Trades Gift Cards.

What do I need to do to cancel my account?

If you want to cancel your member account, contact member care and they will complete the process for you.


Security And Personal Information

How secure is my personal information that I enter on the website?

At DesignerChic Trades your privacy and security are important to us. The information you enter on the website is never shared or published. Our secure online checkout system is provided by PayPal.  

Is my email address or other personal information shared with others?

DesignerChic Trades takes the security of your information seriously. We may disclose information to third parties about you, your card and Account, and transactions related thereto: (a) as necessary to effect, administer, or enforce a transaction requested or authorized by you; (b) with your consent; (c) to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud, unauthorized transactions, or other liability; (d) to comply with government agency or court orders; (e) as permitted and required by applicable law; and (f) as otherwise provided in our Privacy Policy. You understand that by using our services, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as set forth in this Agreement and our Privacy Policy available on the Website.



Does DesignerChic Trades guarantee authenticity?

Payments made for purchased items are made to Designerchictrades.com and not between buyers and sellers. Once you have made a payment, the seller receives notification and sends your purchased item to your country destination. We secure your payment for 5 to 14 days from date of delivery for the U.S. and 7 to 21 days for all other countries, this gives you time to look over your item. If no return request is made, the seller will be paid after 5 days of delivery. However, if you have contacted the seller and our member care team that the item you received is not as described, and we have verified this claim, you will be refunded. See our Returns Policy for more details. Also, positive, negative and neutral feedback can be left for buyers and sellers on the site. 

If an item you purchased is misrepresented in it's listing, we'll give you a full refund.

What is the Authentication Premium Assurance? 

The service provides an extra verification and authentication on all items $500 or more to alleviate the worries of buying and selling luxury and designer products online. See Authenticity Premium Assurance.

What is the currency I make payments in?

You pay in the currency displayed in the item listing the seller has chosen. If you check out in a currency other than your credit card's currency, you may be subject to a currency conversion fee from your card issuer or if you select the credit card payment method other than PayPal. Please check with your credit card issuer for any applicable fees or  for further details. 

Does DesignerChic Trades ship to all countries?

Some sellers may prefer not to sell to certain countries, therefore, please check their listing or contact the seller prior to making a purchase. VIP items are posted to all countries that are allowed to buy on the site. See our list of accepted  for more details. Shipping options will differ depending on your location. For details on shipping rates please contact the seller of the item listed or member care.

An item generally is shipped within 3 to 5 business days following receipt of payment and approval. You should receive your item in 7 to 10 if your item is sent locally. For international orders, you should receive your item within 14 days. Deliveries are based on business days (M-F except Holidays), and if the item receives additional verification. Please contact the seller of the item before you purchase it, as delivery times vary by location and delivery method that the seller has chosen.   

Do I have to pay sales tax?

No, we do not collect sales tax.

Do you offer financing or layaway?

As an alternative to layaway, we offer financing through PayPal Credit.This will allow you to take immediate delivery of your item while offering the ability to pay off your balance over time.  

Can I cancel the item purchased?

In the event of any issues regarding your purchase, please contact the seller of the item and member care.



How do I start selling on DesignerChic Trades?

We accept sellers only from within the United States. You will need to sign up as a member and carefully read our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. 

How do I create a listing?

You can list any luxury and designer women, men, and children's fashions that is in good, very good, excellent to pristine condition on DesignerChic Trades, using our website. See our Quality Standards.

When listing an item, you'll be required to add photos, provide a brief description, product name and price, and select a shipping method.

a. Go to the right of the menu bar and click Sell > List Now.

b. Select your item type and category.

c. Take as many photos - we will clean your primary photo with a white background. 

d. Fill in the required listing details.

e. Write a brief description about the item.

f. Choose your selling price.

g. Choose a shipping method - have us send you a USPS pre-paid, pre-addressed printable shipping label, or you can self-ship.  

h. Review and publish your listing. Our team pre-screens every new listing and endeavors to get your item listing posted on the website within a 6 to 24 hours. It's fast and simple.

How do I price an item?

When listing your item, the price is up to you as the seller. There is a few things to consider when selecting a selling price from items retail price, product condition, product demand, product and price comparison.

How do I edit a listing?

To edit your listing, go to My Account > click on My Listings > select the item you'd like to edit. Select the Edit button and you'll be able to make any necessary changes to your listing.

Why do you clean the cover photo?

DesignerChic Trades cleans the primary photo of every listing with a white background so it looks more professional, and this helps items to sell faster. 

How do I become a VIP seller?

To become a VIP seller, you will need to fill out a VIP Service form. Once you complete the application form, one of our wardrobe stylist will contact you and arrange collection of the item(s). We will do all the work for you and you get paid when the item has sold. See our VIP Terms for more details.

How can I donate to a cause?

As a seller on DesignerChic Trades, when listing an item, you will have the option to name the cause you want to donate a percentage after sale of our item. 

Can I list my item as final sale?

All sales are final on DesignerChic Trades. However, a buyer can return an item and receive refund only if the item purchased is not as described by your listing description or if an agreement is made with you and the buyer who purchased the item. Returns are accepted within 5 days of delivery if the item is misrepresented or inauthentic. For more details view our Return Policy.

How long will it take for my item to sell? 

The time it takes to sell your item will depend on the demand of the product, the condition, price, and the quality of your listing. The more details you provide, quality photos, price, and etc., will all determine if your item will sell fast. If your item does not sell after a month or so, we recommend you review your listing and your selling price.  

What are the shipping options offered?

There are three shipping options offered. When creating a listing, go to Delivery Options > Shipping Info > select a Shipping Method.

If you select the method > shipping on your own, you must select Per Product > enter Shipping Cost. If you select Per Weight > enter product Weight and Dimensions.

2) If you select the method > Receive Prepaid Shipping Label > we enter the cost and send you the label.

3) Third option is Free shipping.

When creating a listing, make sure your item is in line with your listing description. Once your order is confirmed, you have the option to handle shipping on your own by adding reasonable shipping and handling fees to the sale price in order to cover the costs for packaging and mailing the item sold to the buyer. All items must be sent by tracked postage. DesignerChic Trades requires "Delivery with Signature Required" and insurance for any items valued at $500 or more. Please check with the postage provider you use. Buyers are responsible for all applicable sales, excise, import, export, VAT and any other duties and taxes associated with the purchase of any goods through our Service. All shipping fees and taxes are not included in the listed price for any goods made available from sellers through our Service. When will my funds be available?

DesignerChic Trades will pay sellers for an item 5 days from the date of delivery to buyers in the US, or 14 days outside the US. We may hold your funds from a sale for up to 21 days from the date of delivery to the buyer, though you may be paid earlier if the buyer confirms item received and is as described by your listing description. At this time, for extra security, PayPal is our preferred method to pay you for your seller earnings. Sellers are liable for all cost relating to payment transfers. All fees on DesignerChic Trades are in U.S. dollars.
